“Not to worry Dellboy, they'll soon start providing secure overnight parking when things get worse.
Either that or we'll be back to the days of the Wild West, when stagecoaches carried an armed guard - but this time it will be convoys protected by armoured cars.
. . . . I suppose we'll have to buy those from abroad too”

“If the secure lorry parks nationwide hadn't been closed down one by one this situation wouldn't be anywhere near as frequent as it is.
LGV drivers HAVE GOT TO park up when the legal driving hours are expired and nowadays that means the nearest lay-by which is unlit and unsecure.
Curtainsiders are childs play to get into and a Stanley knife makes no noise so manufacturers can either reinforce the curtains with kevlar or the councils/government can start providing lorry parks that are patrolled to stop all this.
Only in this Country are lorry drivers treated with contempt on the same level as gypsies with the nimby brigade yet when you drive on the continent and there's a world of difference.”
