Fake TV chef given porridge
A CONMAN chef from North Lincolnshire who duped his way on to TV by claiming to have worked with the industry's biggest names has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Conman Kenny Goldsmith, 40, of Low Street, Winterton, appeared on Saturday Kitchen and UKTV Food as well as the French TV show Cuisine France.

He boasted of having cooked alongside the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Ken Hom and the late French star chef Bernard Loiseau.
But far from helping to train Jamie Oliver, as he claimed, Goldsmith honed his supposed skills working in a prison kitchen and was a well-seasoned fraudster, Lincoln Crown Court heard yesterday.
Goldsmith was jailed after admitting conning a string of pubs, restaurants and suppliers out of more than £100,000.
His partner Kristy Emmans, 38, of Patrick Street, Grimsby, who also admitted fraud and theft charges was jailed for 18 months.
Judge Richard O'Rorke told the pair: "You are both financial locusts grazing off the back of other people's hard work and savings. This was ruthless and cynical fraud."

“i used to work for this bloke and they still owe me £100 for wages. i worked for ken and kristy in the kitchen and okay the food was okay but give him a few orders and he would panic.
it was always i used to work with gordon ramsay or jamie oliver but still he would panic under pressure.
he would claim that he was going on holiday to places like kenya or somewhere hot and say that he wanted to open up a restaurant/bar over there.
a lot of the stuff i heard from his mouth was rubbish, but i suppose at least in prison he's got an easier life.”
