The family, as well as members of the stag party, have already returned home and Mr Waring said that everyone had rallied around to support each other.
Mr Waring told the Telegraph about the moment they saw the body of Mr White.
"We managed to find a Liverpool gel sticker that we stuck above his heart on his robes," he said.
"We also put pictures of his brothers in there with him and his mum gave him a kiss."
The pair joined Michael's friends in lighting three candles on rocks close to the sea and shared stories about Michael.
"Michael had 45 euros left on his bed so we used the money to buy all the lads one more drink from Mick as a special goodbye," he said.
"It was a very special drink.
"It was great to hear all the lads talk about him and share all their stories with us."
