Farming group ploughs ahead with plans
FINANCE: A Beverley family farming group is set for expansion following a £6.45m refinancing agreement with Santander Corporate Banking.
The new finance agreement will enable FD Bird Group to expand all of its four divisions, which include the original farming partnership and storage business, FD Bird & Sons; the quarry and aggregates operation, Yarrows Aggregates, and Heron Lakes Luxury Lodge Park.
While freeing up working capital for the entire group, it specifically will enable Yarrow Aggregates to invest in a new robotic palletiser and new lodges at Heron Lakes.
