Final chance to take part in Scunthorpe Telegraph Baby and Toddler of Year competition

PROUD parents have until Saturday to have their children pictured for the Scunthorpe Telegraph's Baby and Toddler Of The Year competition.

We are on the hunt for North Lincolnshire's cutest baby or toddler – and we've got a grand total of £1,000 up for grabs, with the overall winner scooping £550.

Photography sessions are taking place from 10am to 4pm every day in a special studio in The Foundry Shopping Centre in Scunthorpe until Saturday, February 23.

Among those already entered for the competition is Adam Hall, four, of Scunthorpe.

His dad Peter, 50, said: "We bring him here every year and it is a tradition with us.

"He got into the semi-final last year.

"It has been four years now and we love seeing his picture in the paper.

"Whether he wins anything doesn't matter – he is our little winner."

To enter, applicants must supply one of the tokens, printed below, to have their child photographed for free.

The first 500 people to register their under-fives also receive free entry to Cheeky Chimps Playzone in Scunthorpe.

The child's parent or guardian will be given a date and time to return to the studio to view their photographs and choose one which will be featured in the Baby and Toddler photo special in the Scunthorpe Telegraph on Thursday, March 21.

They will also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the picture as well.

Once all entrants are featured, it will be down to the public to vote for their top 80 with in-paper voting tokens, with 20 entrants going through from each of the four age categories – 0 to nine months, 10 to 18 months, 19 to 36 months and 3 to 5 years.

A panel of judges will decide on a winner from each category, before choosing an overall winner from the final four.

The lucky parents of the first place winner will receive £550 of the prize pot, with £150 for each of the three runners-up. On top of this prize, the parents will receive a complimentary print of the winning photo featuring their child.
