POLE dancing, belly dancing and a catwalk show are all part of a women-only charity night dedicated to looking and feeling good.

Women of all ages, shapes and sizes have been issued with an open invitation to an evening called Let's Get Bootiful, where there will be chances to try out alternative types of exercise.

And an appeal has also been issued for real women brave enough to take to the catwalk and show off beautiful underwear in the catwalk show.

The evening, being held in aid of Young Enterprise Yorkshire And Humber, is about celebrating the female form and having fun getting fit, according to organiser Nicola Trussell.

She said: "It's an opportunity for women to try out alternative types of exercise, with the pole and belly dancing, that they might be nervous or embarrassed to do normally.

"It's a women-only event and only for over-18s, so it's a perfect environment to give it a go.

"We also have the fashion show, where we'll be showing off underwear and shoes from local shops.

"We're still recruiting models and would love to hear from volunteers.

"The important thing is that you don't have to be a skinny model, we want real women who will look and feel beautiful on the catwalk no matter what shape or size you are."

The catwalk show will be a chance to snap up swimwear and nightwear as well as pants and bras, all courtesy of Brigg boutique Petticoats.

There will also be stalls selling underwear, nightwear, swimwear, footwear, hand-made soaps, trinkets and jewellery.

After the fashion show, all guests will have the chance to try their hand – and legs – at pole dancing, and to work out tummies with a belly-dancing tutorial.

Let's Get Bootiful will be held at the Polish Club, Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe, on Friday September 4.

To volunteer, or for an invitation, call Nicola Trussell on 07786 404976 or 01724 297331 or Sara Cropper on 01724 296650 or e-mail nttrussell@hotmail.com or letsgetbootiful@yahoo.com

All guests are required to make a £5 donation, which will go to Young Enterprise.
