Forging Our Future
HELP us forge a brighter future for North Lincolnshire.
The Scunthorpe Telegraph has launched one of the most important campaigns in our history - to help the area make a full recovery from one of the worst recessions this country has ever seen.
-

We have teamed up with some of North Lincolnshire's most influential organisations to launch the Forging our Future campaign - an initiative to help our area, our business, and you.
As a region we have a lot to shout about, and as greenshoots begin to appear across North Lincolnshire, we believe the time is right to support our businesses and residents with this campaign.
We will be providing assistance and support to our local business, who hold the key to our region's economic future and long-term employment prospects.
If you are one of the 5,000 people currently out of work in North Lincolnshire, we will give you the contacts and information you need to get back into work.
And to our readers, we will provide you with practical advice and tips on how to improve your health, wealth and prosperity.
As plucky Scunthorpe United have shown in recent years, when we all pull together we have the resolve to make things happen and punch above our weight.
Out of great crisis can come great opportunity and we all need to stand up and show what this area has to offer.
Along with North Lincolnshire Council, NHS North Lincolnshire and Yorkshire Forward, as well as some of our biggest businesses - Kimberly Clark, CJM Asset Management and Stagecoach - we hope to provide the region with a package for growth, success and prosperity.
Council leader Mark Kirk said: "I'm delighted North Lincolnshire Council is backing the Telegraph's Forging Our Future campaign. The council are at the forefront of shaping the areas future, that's how it should be, it's one of the reasons we exist."
NHS North Lincolnshire, the region's Primary Care Trust oversees the healthcare of more than 160,000 residents in North Lincolnshire and has an annual budget of around £230-million.
PCT staff will be providing advice for readers and information on health services for people looking to improve their well-being.
Stagecoach East Midlands is our region's main provider of public transport and provides links to villages and major towns such as Hull and Lincoln.
Yorkshire Forward is the regional development agency for Yorkshire and the Humber and distributes funding for major projects such as The Baths Hall.
Barton-based nappy-making company Kimberly-Clark is one of the region's major employers, with more than 400 workers.
Scunthorpe-based CJM Asset Management is one of the country's top three industrial auctioneering firms and hope to make people aware of some of the bargains available to local people and businesses.
