Climate East Midlands is running the topical event to help businesses in Lincolnshire increase their resilience to severe weather like flooding, snow, drought and heatwaves.

This will be a very practical workshop with expert speakers, interactive exercises and the chance to learn from what other local businesses are doing.
It will cover the business impacts of severe weather, and what climate change could mean for different organisations, business continuity planning, flood risk mapping and flood warnings.
Every participant will leave with ideas for practical steps that they can take to make their business more resilient, and will receive a detailed action plan which is bespoke to their organisation.
They will also be given a copy of the new Weathering the Storm” guide - how to save and make money in a changing climate - and have an opportunity to find out more about the newly launched Midlands Business Resilience Award.
The event is hosted by Lincoln-based Simons Group, a property solutions business that designs resilience into new buildings and refurbishment to ensure they can cope with the future as well as the current climate.
The workshop is part of a programme of business events organised and delivered by Climate East Midlands, with support from the Environment Agency.
Businesses of all sizes are welcome and staff with responsibility for risk management, business continuity and/or health and safety may find this workshop particularly relevant.
The event next Tuesday runs from 9am - 1pm and concludes with lunch.
Booking is essential by calling 01664 502 648.
