Free advice on saving energy for Scunthorpe area households
FREE Energy advice sessions are to be held across the Scunthorpe area to offer tips to householders on being more energy efficient.
North Lincolnshire Council is extending an open invitation to find out about saving energy in your home, fuel switching and oil buying co-operatives.

Low energy bulbs help the environment
Information will also be provided on the council’s Handyperson Scheme, advice for private rented tenants and find out about the types of assistance available to make essential improvements to the home.
Free carbon monoxide detectors will be available at the sessions on a first come, first serve basis.

Wednesday 30 January at Epworth Local Link from 9.30am to 12.30pm and Crowle Local Link from 2.30pm to 5pm
Monday 4 February at Winterton Local Link from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Thursday 7 February at Brigg Local Link (The Angel) from 10am to 3pm
Wednesday 13 February at Barton Local Link from 10am to 2pm
Thursday 14 February at Broughton Local Link from 2pm to 5pm
Councillor John Briggs, from Crowle, Cabinet Member for Asset Management, Culture and Housing at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “With the current cold weather the sessions are the perfect opportunity for people to find out how to heat their homes effectively and efficiently.
“It is important for people to be aware of the amount of energy that they use and how they can improve their energy efficiency. These sessions are a great way to get started.
“There is plenty of help available out there to assist people with saving energy in their home, including grants and discounts."
