“Not good news for the employees or the town in general, sad sign of the times ahead though.

“So another store is closing down .if Comerfords campaign to stop M and S and Debenhams stores coming to town is successful the Trent Valley site may yet become derelict and 11Scunthorpe will become a ghost town.i just hope if this happens people will remember who is responsible! There are many kinds of shoppers and i belong to ones who cant wander around town and stores, or walk from car parks some days, iwelcome being able for us to park at any one store, but in this selfish action you Mr comerford will prevent me .After all not all shoppers want to shop with YOU!!!!!”

more expensive alternative in stock and try to push that on you.”

“Comet's prices are very fair, even when compared to internet prices. And, unlike Curry's they put price labels on things! They were doomed from the moment they were taken over by asset strippers. I hope they're bought out and make a comeback.”

“Seems like the "Convenience" of out of town retailing is now no longer Convenient enough.

Although many on here won't ever accept it, but today is a very sad day for the consumer, employers and employees of businesses all over the country and is another stage closer to national domination by just a handful supermarkets.”
