WINNERS of North Lincolnshire Homes' annual garden competition have been announced.

More than 60 green-fingered entries were submitted and then judged by Community Voice members, Healey Road Allotment Society and tenants.

Judges said a number of "stunning entries" were submitted and many tenants had "totally transformed gardens".

In the best-kept garden category, Samantha Evans, of Brigg, claimed the top spot with runners-up Mr Betts and Mrs Rayton, of South Killingholme.

Prize for best community garden went to School Close, Epworth, with Wells Court, Broughton, in close second.

The most creative use of space award was won by Jackie Hill, Barton, with Paul Olsen, of Scunthorpe, and John Jones, of Kirton Lindsey, joint runners-up.
