Gold standard company is celebrating its success
award: Staff at Southburn's JSR are celebrating after the company was awarded the prestigious Investors In People Gold Standard.
Farming business JSR is believed to be one of the first agricultural companies in the UK to be awarded the accreditation – which is a demanding standard that sets out a framework for evaluating how well a company connects strategy and operational planning with its people policy.
JSR chairman Tim Rymer said: "We are delighted to be awarded Investors In People Gold. We have held the Investor In People Standard since 1993 and three years ago set ourselves a goal to achieve gold in 2012.
"During that time, 18 new people initiatives have been implemented to help link our HR policy with our strategic goals and operational plans and I believe a well-thought out strategy implemented by well-trained and motivated people is the key to success.
