Councillor Liz Redfern, leader of the council, said: "This is the first Great Attractions Fair to be held in North Lincolnshire.

"It is a wonderful way to showcase all that North Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas have to offer.

"There will be plenty of fun filled ideas for great days out that all the family can enjoy.

"There will be a farmers' and craft market selling the best local produce and gifts.

"Exhibitors range from Pleasure Island and the award-winning Pink Pig Adventure to Normanby Hall and Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway."

During the day there will also be cookery demonstrations by Colin McGurran, chef and owner of Winteringham Fields.

Snake Davis, one of the UK's leading saxophonists, is also set to perform, while there will also be a rare chance to see two classic sports cars.

A free park and ride service will run to the event from North Lindsey College on Kingsway, Scunthorpe, from 9.45am.
