“You may find that less nannying, less denormalisation, less prohibition techniques actually work. It has done in most other places.
Since the bans and denormalisation of smoking came in, the reduction in people smoking has reversed.
Everyone was talking about more exercise and losing weight, but then we had the big government push - no-one gives a hoot anymore.
If you lay off with the heavy-handed techniques, you'll be surprised how many actually take notice and CHOOSE to adopt a more healthy lifestyle.
Most adults with a brain refuse to be lectured to by big state interference. They prefer to make their own minds up and usually do in the right way. We were all doing this nicely until the do-gooders and zealots took over the reigns that NuLab gladly passed to them.
As an example - too much water can kill. Anyone will tell you that. We need water to survive though, don't we?
Lets start educating about moderation and the benefits of it instead of we must do this and we mustn't do that.
Moderation has always been the key to a healthy life and just leave politics, propaganda and brainwashing out of the health of our citizens”
