Heavy rain over the weekend combined with snow melt could lead to localised surface water and river flooding.
North Lincolnshire councillor, Nigel Sherwood (Brigg and Wolds), cabinet member for highways and neighbourhoods, said: "There is a forecast for about 4 inches of snow which will be followed by a big thaw that brings another dimension - flooding.
"The trail of snow is predicted to be followed by possible flooding and we have plans in place to deal with both issues.
"Workers are on standby to deal with any weather condition and the car parks and some roads have already been gritted this morning.
"They will go out again at 12.30 to grit more roads and also refill all the yellow salt bins.
"We will be monitoring conditions closely and also have the resources to tackle any flooding problems in North Lincolnshire."
