Historic Walcot Hall wedding venture plans to site four-month marquee
Historic Walcot Hall is the subject of a planning application for a wedding marquee to be sited there between May 1 and September 30 each year.
The request for permission has been lodged with North Lincolnshire Council by Walcot Hall Estate - Tony and Cindy Lane-Roberts.
They operate a wedding business on their land adjoining Walcot Hall, near Alkborough.
But rather than putting up and taking down a marquee for different weddings, they now want to keep a temporary one there during the warmer months.

Weddings at Walcot Hall - a listed building - create work for more than 20 people, including caterers, waiters and bar staff.
North Lincolnshire Council is accepting comments on this proposal until December 14, but a decision will not be made until well into the New Year.
