Humber business leaders welcome Government response to Lord Heseltine review
The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has welcomed the Government's response to an economic plan aimed at improving the UK's ability to create wealth.
A response to Lord Heseltine's review, No Stone Unturned In Pursuit of Growth, has been published by the Department for Business Innovation & Skills.
The review, published in October, makes 89 recommendations and calls for more power and more funding to be given to LEPs.
In response, the Government has accepted 81 of the recommendations in full or in part.

Lord Haskins, chairman of the Humber LEP, said: "Lord Heseltine proposed a major shift in powers and funding to local leaders and I am delighted that the Government has accepted every one of the key recommendations.
"The Humber LEP will be at the forefront of implementing these changes with support from Lord Heseltine and we are well placed to do so because of the work we have done so far.
"This has included publishing one of the first LEP strategic plans and developing the City Deal proposal.
"Since Lord Heseltine's report was published we have been preparing the way to implement his recommendations.
"This announcement means we will have the tools and at least some of the money to get on with delivering them.
"We now look forward to finding out in the Spending Review whether the funding available will match up with our ambitions."
