Humberside PCC Matthew Grove to meet with crime victims in North Lincolnshire
Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Grove will be holding his first consultations with victims of crime over the next week.
Matthew will spend two evenings with Victim Support Humber on both the north and south banks, meeting victims to discuss their experiences and get their views on how future services can be improved to meet their needs, which will form part of his Police and Crime Plan.
He said: "I have backed Victim Support by signing up to their five pledges to ensure continued support for victims and witnesses.
"As Police and Crime Commissioner I will endeavour to be a champion for victims and be their voice to ensure their concerns and interests are always heard."
Matthew's Police and Crime Plan will be published at the end of March after engagement with stakeholders and the community, and will set the Police and Crime objectives in the Humberside Police area for the next five years.
The key areas will be:
• The Police and Crime Objectives• The policing capacity, service, strength, and standards of policing to be expected.• Finance – the level of resources made available to the Chief Constable and other relevant partners.• Performance and Accountability – How the Chief Constable will account to Matthew and the means by which his/her performance will be measured.• Grants and Securing Services – Any crime and disorder reduction grants Matthew is to make.
