Hundreds set to attend North Lincolnshire careers fair
More than 1,600 young people are expected at a major careers fair next week.

Organiser North Lincolnshire Council hopes it will give employers a chance to capture the imagination of school pupils, college students and job-seekers.

Universities and businesses will be among 70 exhibitors.
Advice will be offered on finding work, training opportunities, further and higher education, apprenticeships and volunteering.
The event will be open to year nine and ten pupils from 9am to 3pm. After 3pm it will welcome year 11 and college students, young job-seekers and parents. The general public is invited to attend after 3.30pm.
Free shuttle buses will run to and from the event, leaving Scunthorpe Bus Station at 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

Council leader Liz Redfern said: “We want to the raise aspirations of our young people and we’re using the jobs and careers event to give them ideas about their opportunities open to them.
“It’s also an ideal opportunity for employers to see for themselves the wealth of talented, hard-working young people who will soon be making choices about their future career.”
