United are now a goal threat says manager Baraclough
IAN Baraclough is well aware of the threat Scunthorpe United face tomorrow.
But he is convinced the Iron have developed an equally potent attack of their own ahead of a trip to Bristol City.

Fourteen times this season Baraclough's men have drawn a blank, though with three to their credit against Sheffield United on Tuesday, the manager believes he has solved the problem.
"It is pleasing," the Iron boss said of the midweek goal rush.
"I know there are goals in the team, and from all over as well, not just the front lads.
"We've had one or two chances in recent weeks from defenders coming up for set-pieces.
"That's massively important and it will be again tomorrow – for and against, because Bristol City are a big side and a threat from set-pieces.
"We've also got midfielders who can chip in and they're frustrated that they've not been doing that of late.
"We know what we're going to face.
"They're a good side. A big, strong, physical side, but they've got good technical players as well.
"We know that we're in for a big, big game."
City have triumphed over their visitors once already this season – a game which turned out to be Nigel Adkins' last in charge of the club.
The speculation surrounding his departure did not help the Iron's cause that day.
But there will be no such repeat at Ashton Gate.
"I remember it was a strange feeling around the ground," recalled Baraclough.
"Nige maybe wasn't himself and maybe wouldn't have come across in the same sort of manner.
"Players might have been a little bit edgy with what had gone on, I think there was a lot of speculation for a good couple of weeks leading up to it.
"It unbalances people and they react in different ways. They were probably wondering what was going to happen in the future.
"It's a little bit different now.
"Both teams have now gone and had good results and bad results throughout the season, which is why we're both in the bottom half.
"Hopefully we've managed to turn the corner a bit and have got some consistency and belief.
"We've got a group of players who are all striving for excellence."

“Hayes went to triple his wages nothing to do with lack of negotiations by Wharton.. Know this as a FACT”

“Hayes and Garner, could have been a reality had Wharton not let Hayes go without any negotiations.
Garner would be 750k - 1m and Hayes would be 300k ish in the summer.
Won't happen with Chairman Hardnose at the helm. Won't accept egg on his face.”

“Well said Sir. Many people little realise that this team has been spoilt over the past few years with Hooper/Hayes , Sharp/Keogh, Patterson, Beckford etc
Rome was not built in a day.”

“Agreed! Definatly more of a goal threat with Garner & Miller in the team. "If" we manage to pull off the great escape this season then Mr Wharton needs to get his chequebook out and do all he can to sign them both. Can never start a season again with a team who do not have anyone even remotly capable of at least getting near 15/20 goals for the season. Wheather your aiming for promotion or avoiding relegation having someone at least capable of scoring a decent amount of goals is imperitiv to achieving your targets for the season.”
