Injuries stack up at Glanford Park, but Mirfin could return
INJURIES continue to ravage Scunthorpe United's hopes of Championship survival.
They have been rocked by confirmation that influential midfield man Michael O'Connor will be out for up to eight weeks with knee ligament trouble.

RETURN: The Iron's David Mirfin.
Garry Thompson continues to be a major worry after another injection to the groin problem that has already sidelined him for most of the season.
And skipper Cliff Byrne and centre-back Rob Jones have both had scans on their ailments.
O'Connor was injured during a training ground routine on Thursday, hobbling away from the ground on crutches.
"He has twisted his knee, damaging the medial ligaments," said manager Ian Baraclough.
"He will be out for six, seven or eight weeks and that is a massive blow to us.
"Garry has had another injection in the area of his injury.
"We will have to monitor him day by day. But we cannot afford to try and rush him back because he has already broken down once."
One bit of good news is that defensive lynch-pin David Mirfin, who has also been dogged by injuries, could be fit to return to action again against Burnley.
