Knill pleased with positive response of Iron players in training
MANAGER Alan Knill believes his Scunthorpe United players have responded positively in training this week following the 6-0 horror show at Norwich City.
But he knows the only real way they will be judged is at home to QPR on Saturday.

PLEASED WITH RESPONSE: New Iron manager Alan Knill.
It could hardly be a tougher task for the Iron against the team running away at the top of the Championship table.
It's going to take a momentous effort from United if they are to avoid what would be a sixth successive defeat.
"I am pleased with the way the players have responded since last Saturday," said Knill.
"It will take them a little while to get used to us as a new management team, but the feedback we have had from them has been pretty positive.
"We were all disappointed at Norwich, probably no more so than the players.
"We were playing against some very good players and any signs of weakness at this level will be exploited.
"Norwich exploited that very, very well.
"We have got to put that behind us now, but not forget it completely and remember how much it hurt.
"Now it's QPR, who are top of the league by a long way – but those are the sorts of top games you should want to play in.
"I learned a lot standing on the touchline at Norwich and potentially I will learn a lot standing there again on Saturday."
Knill insists it is not just pride Scunthorpe are playing for.
"While there are still 21 points to play for, there is always hope and we have got to go out there and give it our best," he said.
"But I have to say, it is going to take a lot better performance than the one we produced at Norwich.
"And it cannot be just a one-off against QPR, we have got to do it consistently for the rest of the season.
"For us as a club, if you are not at your best, then usually you are found out at this level.
"Over the years Scunthorpe have been at their best, every game, and I am hoping that is what we can be again over the next seven.
"Those last seven games of the season will give me the chance to assess the players and decide who is going to take us forward – and who is not."
United have slashed admission prices for Saturday's game against QPR to just £10 for adults in all parts of the ground. Other concessions are also available.

“You need to let go Mike, you are like a spurned lover. Get over it and go and give your new manager your support when you get one.
Goodbye.”

“Good luck Alan you are going to need it.i'm sure you already know which players you want to keep and can count them on the palm of one hand.Honestly though you are on a hiding to nothing.Mark Catlin's comments on the late show had me thinking that perhaps Bury fc made it too easy for you to leave our club and didn't put up a big enough fight to keep you.As previously i can only say thanks for all of the hard work you put in at Bury and we hope that someone can ensure it isn't wasted and bring us on to be a better team.”
