Jealous lover from Burton Stather assaulted former girlfriend
A JEALOUS lover angrily pushed his ex-girlfriend and pulled her hair after asking her whether she was in a new relationship, a court heard.
Richard Warner, 35, of Stather Road, Burton-Upon-Stather, admitted assaulting Deborah Lavery on November 3.
Martin Howarth, prosecuting, told North Lincolnshire magistrates that an argument broke out between Warner and his ex-girlfriend after she returned from a shopping trip with Warner's sister, Emma.
Warner pulled Miss Lavery's hair during that confrontation. He later admitted that he had downed four litres of cider and was "steaming" drunk.
Unemployed Warner was given a two-year supervision order, including a domestic abuse programme and six months' alcohol treatment, and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a Government-imposed £60 victims' surcharge.
