AN EXPRESS car servicing company which was taken into the hands of administrators last month will reopen on Monday under new management.

Existing customers of Scunthorpe's In 'n' Out facility in Doncaster Road will be relieved to hear their upfront-payment platinum cards will be valid for repairs once more when the centre, near Glanford Park, reopens its doors.

The branch has been sold and will still operate under the In 'n' Out name, but it is understood it is under new management – having been acquired by In 'n' Out Centres Limited.

A spokesman for In 'n' Out said: "The Scunthorpe branch was seen as a deficit and went into administration, but it's been sold and the Scunthorpe branch is now under new management. It will still trade as In 'n' Out.

"The staff will be reinstated and the usual opening hours will resume.

"It will be run by In 'n' Out Centres Ltd. All platinum members have been contacted by letter.

"The new management will honour all pre-paid platinum memberships."

The centre shut its doors after the Northamptonshire-based company went into administration on August 12.

The firm had also closed its branch in Derby, which joined the Scunthorpe outlet as its two biggest loss-makers.

Emma Fullwood, 27, is an In 'n' Out platinum card holder from Burton-upon-Stather. She said: "I'm obviously glad but I'm still very cynical about how long they will stay open again this time so I'm not jumping for joy.

"Hopefully, it will stay open long enough for me to use up the service and MOT left on my card, which I was saving for next year.

"Unless I hear about a major turn around for the Scunthorpe branch, I doubt I will renew my membership when it runs out next June for fear of this happening again.

"£290 is a lot of money to lay out and risk losing."

“The new management are taking advantage of the law to pick up the business for a song.. but.. the word on the street is that it will close on the 26th.
Platinum Members should seek a refund with HQ in Northampton right away.”

“Nobody called Mick has worked at the place, also no one from Barton so it sounds like someone is just trying to put people off by giving it a bad name.
    Maybe another garage owner.”

“I took my 3 year old audi with only 16k miles on for the 1st mot at (in & out at scunthorpe), but it failed as i was shocked, they failed it on 5 items ie:brake pipes, suspension components.then they gave me a price for £586.26 to repair it. i said thats a bit expensive then the manager said he knows a mate who can do it for £140 cash, i thought it felt there was some thing wrong, its not a bent company but its bent staff aswell. so i took my audi to another mot station and gave the the failure sheet to the testing station and they had 4 mot testers looking at my car and they totally laughed at the failure sheet, so i payed for them to do a mot and they passed it with no advisorys at all, this shoddy in & out outfit will rip more people off and the manager for cash in hand jobs, this manager needs sacking but the directors are just as bent thats why theyve gone bust, then bust again in probaly another 8 months,”

“Don't think I could trust that company again or any others that play such tricks to dump their debt, it should never be allowed. The best way was when the customer could wait near his car while it was being serviced or repaired, maybe H&S should an owners viewing bay next to each service bayso customer can watch work done like it used to be. I had oil & filter change at Kwik Fit, grease monkey fetched car out onto forecourt and I noticed he had removed the large engine protection cover but had not replaced it, had I not been close enough to see and watched him doing what he did I would have driven away and it would have gone in a skip I guess, if I ever go back again I will insist it is worked on in nearest bay to viewing window or go else where, the oil was over filled also, maybe filling to midway mark and giving a litre in a topup bottle would be better, 3rd time this has happened at a Kwik Fit.”
