AN EXPRESS car servicing company which was taken into the hands of administrators last month will reopen on Monday under new management.

Existing customers of Scunthorpe's In 'n' Out facility in Doncaster Road will be relieved to hear their upfront-payment platinum cards will be valid for repairs once more when the centre, near Glanford Park, reopens its doors.

The branch has been sold and will still operate under the In 'n' Out name, but it is understood it is under new management – having been acquired by In 'n' Out Centres Limited.

A spokesman for In 'n' Out said: "The Scunthorpe branch was seen as a deficit and went into administration, but it's been sold and the Scunthorpe branch is now under new management. It will still trade as In 'n' Out.

"The staff will be reinstated and the usual opening hours will resume.

"It will be run by In 'n' Out Centres Ltd. All platinum members have been contacted by letter.

"The new management will honour all pre-paid platinum memberships."

The centre shut its doors after the Northamptonshire-based company went into administration on August 12.

The firm had also closed its branch in Derby, which joined the Scunthorpe outlet as its two biggest loss-makers.

Emma Fullwood, 27, is an In 'n' Out platinum card holder from Burton-upon-Stather. She said: "I'm obviously glad but I'm still very cynical about how long they will stay open again this time so I'm not jumping for joy.

"Hopefully, it will stay open long enough for me to use up the service and MOT left on my card, which I was saving for next year.

"Unless I hear about a major turn around for the Scunthorpe branch, I doubt I will renew my membership when it runs out next June for fear of this happening again.

"£290 is a lot of money to lay out and risk losing."

“The new management are taking advantage of the law to pick up the business for a song.. but.. the word on the street is that it will close on the 26th.
Platinum Members should seek a refund with HQ in Northampton right away.”

“Nobody called Mick has worked at the place, also no one from Barton so it sounds like someone is just trying to put people off by giving it a bad name.
    Maybe another garage owner.”
