THREE men who kidnapped a male and threatened him with an array of weapons before making him act like a dog, were locked up for a total of nine years.

The victim, Krystian Sobor, spent more than three hours imprisoned in an address on Detuyll Street, Scunthorpe, in late July.

The incident started after Rafal Dziawgo accused him of previously having made advances to his girlfriend.

And Mr Sobor was then threatened with an axe, hammer, and knives by Dziawgo and his accomplices Matthew Arnold and Krzyzstof Rzeznik.

Arnold started up an electric drill and held it close to his head and threats were made to stab a fork in his eye, cut off his fingers and knock his teeth out.

At one point Mr Sobor was led around the property on a dog lead and he was also made to drink from a baby's bottle.

He was eventually released but Dziawgo and Arnold then demanded he hand over £1,300 cash.

Dziawgo, 31, of Detuyll Street, Scunthorpe, denied charges of false imprisonment and conspiracy to blackmail.

Rzeznik, 35, who was staying at the same address at the time, denied false imprisonment. They were both convicted after a trial.

Arnold, 22, of Fockerby, Garthorpe, admitted both offences and he gave evidence to the effect he was the only person involved.

Dziawgo was jailed for four years, Arnold for three years and Rzeznik for 24 months.
