He said: "With the economy the way it is at the moment, if people choose to shop locally, they are supporting their local businesses.
"I don't know that many businesses which are pulling up many trees at the moment.
"Anyone who chooses to support the local economy is doing the retailers that are servicing them a favour.
"We have had a good response from the Buy Local campaign before because a lot of our work comes through recommendations."
Mr Bell said the firm's fitting costs were around half the prices charged by major chains because it employed its own fitters.
The Lincolnshire Kitchen Company was established in 1996 and is based in the town's Market Place.
Mr Bell said the firm did a lot of work with regional house builders to supply kitchens.
And he said while the average retailer may sell 50 kitchens a year, his company sells 10 times that number.
Mr Bell said this meant prices for customers could be driven down further.
He said: "We give an itemised breakdown and a lot of people are able to go online and look to beat the prices.
"But 99 per cent come back to us and say we are cheaper than they could get the same products online."
And he said providing a quality service was also a key part of the business.
He said: "We are competitive in our prices but we also make sure we give a good service.
"That is the key to it and it is why over the years, we have been successful."
