Landslide followed by animal on the line affects Scunthorpe and Barnetby area rail services
A LANDSLIDE has affected the train service between Doncaster and Scunthorpe.
Buses are replacing trains between the two stations today, after the landslide yesterday afternoon (Monday, February 11).

Passengers travelling between the stations should expect delays up to an hour, with emergency engineering work being carried out.
The landslide, which happened at Hatfield and Stainforth, affected First TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Cleethorpes, which will not run between Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

Northern Rail services between Doncaster and Scunthorpe via Crowle and Althorpe have also been suspended until further notice.
Meanwhile, an animal on the line at Barnetby early this morning caused delays to trains of up to 20 minutes.
This problem affected East Midlands Trains and First TransPennine Express services.
Network Rail said a freight train struck and killed a horse on the line between Barnetby and Brocklesby.
