Lead thieves strike in Kirton Lindsey and vehicle damaged in Messingham

Police are investigating a theft of lead in Kirton Lindsey and an attempted theft of the same metal.

Between 6pm on Friday (26th October) and 11am the following day, thieves approached a property in the St Andrew's area of Kirton and removed and stole a quantity of lead.

Between 7.30pm last Saturday (27th October) and 11am on Sunday, thieves approached another property in the Traingate area of the town and attempted to remove and steal lead.

Police are also investigating an incident of criminal damage to a motor vehicle in Messingham.

It happened Between 6.30pm on Friday, October 19 and 10.30am the next morning.

Someone approached an unattended motor vehicle parked outside a property in The Meadows area of the village and used an instrument to scratch and damage the paintwork.

Police say it is important that the people who committed these offences are identified.

They think someone in locally will have valuable information to help identify the offenders.
