Highly recommended is the 1940s Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9, when military vehicles will be on show, battle re-enactments staged and a flypast enjoyed by a Spitfire and Hurricane.

Ludborough station - postcode DN36 5SQ for sat nav users - is not far from the A16 and the A18 with directional signs helping people from North Lincolnshire to find it.
