Lord John Prescott in Scunthorpe to launch police commissioner manifesto leaflet
Lord John Prescott - a candidate in the race to become the first Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner - was due in Scunthorpe today (Wednesday October 17) to launch his local manifesto.
The launch was planned for 11.30am at the Crosby Community Association venue, 105-107 Frodingham Road.
A spokesman said of the former Deputy Prime Minister: "John will meet with locals and listen to their questions and concerns about police and crime in their area and will launch his local manifesto leaflet.
"This is a venue used by local police for regular monthly Policing Surgeries.
