THE former Kinsley Labour Club in Scunthorpe re-opened to the public for the first time since September 2007.

A change of use will see the former club used as the headquarters for Magic Moments, a charity caring for autistic children in the region.

Patt Ebbs, the chairman of Magic Moments said after three years the organisation had moved out of rented premises in Oswald Road in the town.

The building re-opened yesterday.

Mrs Ebbs said the group had initially agreed a five-year lease on the property and the features would include offices and computer and sensory rooms.

Phase two of the redevelopment of The Kinsley Labour will be the opening in the summer of a Betty's-style tea-room to be called 4Ts Chic.

Manager Julie Toyne said the 40-cover restaurant would open six-days-a-week from 10am to 3pm serving tea and other refreshments.
