WHAT does your child want for Christmas?

It's sure to be a constant topic of conversation between now and the big day.

But this year, when they start asking for the top toys of the season, why not get them entered into the Scunthorpe Telegraph's Christmas Wishes competition?

All they have to do is think up their Christmas wish, have their picture taken and be in with a chance to scoop a share of £1,500.

It could be time to make this year's Christmas even more special.

To enter, children must be 10-years-old or under on October 27.

The first entry form appears below, and will be printed in paper until November 1.

Parents and guardians should fill in their child's details and their Christmas wish then bring them along to the Scunthorpe Telegraph's photographic sessions, where they can have their picture taken.

It's sure to be great fun for everyone getting into the Christmas spirit.

The cute shots will be snapped at Scunthorpe's Foundry, outside the old Adams unit, Southgate Mall, from Monday, October 27 until Saturday, November 1, from 9.30am until 5pm, with a break for lunch from 12pm-1pm.

And family and friends will be able to pick up instant prints of their little treasures on the day especially for Christmas.

This would be one fantastic pressie to slot into a frame as a festive keepsake with each print costing £6, or £10 for three.

A giant festive supplement of all the adorable snaps will be in the paper on Tuesday, November 25, and then it is time for people across the region to choose their favourite.

Will your little darling pick up a fan base with their cheeky smile?

The first voting forms then appear in the paper until Saturday, December 6 and the votes will be counted up on Friday, December 12.

The winners will then get the good news! What a great way to start the Christmas holiday for the children.

First prize will be a cash bonus of £750, second prize £500, and third prize £250.

The winners will be the top three children with the most votes cast from the competition.

Neil Barlow, Scunthorpe Telegraph events and promotions executive, said: "Christmas Wishes is a fantastic chance for your child to have their picture taken for Christmas, and to try to make their Christmas wishes come true!

"The photos on sale make a great present, and entering the competition gives you the chance to win some festive cash as well."
