Man assaulted outside Scunthorpe town centre pub after failing to give away a cigarette
Scunthorpe police are appealing for information from the public about an assault that took place outside the Blarney Stone public house in Gilliatt Street.
It happened about 1.25am last Friday (November 2).

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to call them on 101, quoting crime reference 1940116
A 27-year-old man was standing outside the pub when he was approached by a man who asked him for a cigarette.
When the 27 year-old man refused the request he was assaulted, sustaining a black eye and cut nose and having his spectacles smashed.
