Between 12.20am and 12.29am on Sunday (July 1) the 21 year-old man was approaching the door of the premises when he stopped and spoke to a male friend.

"The man sustained a very nasty injury and has undergone a serious operation on his jaw, for which he had to travel to Hull for treatment.
"I would like to encourage anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward and speak to police, as you may be able to help us locate the offender.
"Police in North Lincolnshire work hard to keep the town centre in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas safe for people who wish to visit them. It is for this reason that we need to bring this offender to justice."
