Man plunges to death at airfield
A 44-year-old Essex man has died following a parachute jump in North Lincolnshire.
The man, who has not been identified, was injured following a parachute jump at Hibaldstow Airfield near Brigg on Saturday afternoon.
James Cartwright, a spokesman for the force said: "Investigations are under way to establish the cause of the incident.
"However, it's not being treated as suspicious at this time."
Mr Cartwright explained the incident happened just before 4.42pm.
He said: "Police investing the incident are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have seen the deceased prior to the jump, in particular anyone who may have seen him packing his parachutes to contact the police quoting log number 541 of the 22 August."
