Future of Iron defender Trent McClenahan to be decided soon
A DECISION will be made this week on the future of Scunthorpe United's Australian defender Trent McClenahan.
It follows talks between the 25-year-old player, his agent and manager Ian Baraclough.

McClenahan's existing short-term deal is due to expire on Thursday.
Despite experience in Scotland with Hamilton Academical, he has been unable to break into the Iron's first-team.
United reserves take on Leeds United's second string at Glanford Park (7pm) tonight.
It will be a young XI that faces the Elland Road outfit.
"With all the injuries we have got I cannot afford to take chances with any of the senior players," said Baraclough.
Yesterday Joe Murphy, Rob Jones, David Mirfin, Michael O'Connor and Jonathan Forte all missed training.
Baraclough confirmed he had been on the phone all weekend trying to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, United have rearranged their home game in the Championship against Preston to January 29, the date of the fourth round of the FA Cup.
It should have been staged at Glanford Park on Boxing Day but was postponed because of the bad weather.
And 20-year-old Rory Coleman has gone on loan to Blue Square North side Boston United for a month.

“No, but I've seen enough of him in the reserves to make my mind up.”

“And how would you know he is League 2 standard?
Hardly been given the chance here has he?
Should of been RB instead of Byrne.”

“If this waste of space is given another contract it shows the ambition of the club. Surprised Bara even wants to talk to him and his agent. He's not even League 2 standard.”
