Milne 'pushing for a first-team start'
INJURY victim Kenny Milne will be pushing for a first-team spot over the remaining 12 games, according to Iron boss Nigel Adkins.
The defender was substituted after half an hour of a reserve match in midweek, but Adkins put this down to overexertion rather than another set-back.

Kenny Milne
"Kenny worked very, very hard down at Champneys and if anything, we probably shouldn't have played him in the game because he's probably done too much," said Adkins.
"It was just the reality of doing too much in training. I shouldn't have put him in that position and played him.
"The objective is to make him available for the 12 games we've got left.
"He's progressed through training and has been pushing for a first-team start.
"That's how well he did last week. Maybe through too much enthusiasm we pushed it a little bit too far."

“Sounding rather like the updates on Kevin Horlock a few years ago. Wonder what he is up to these days having never made a first team start!!!! We'll be hearing how good he is for the dressing room next....”

“I think our Mr. Adkins is having a bit of a laugh with us don't you?
He's not played a full 90 minutes for nearly 21 months let alone had any full reserve games to allow him to be viable for a start.
It is not often a CB is changed for tactical reasons but stick him on the bench so the fans can see you have stuck by him by all means but unless survival is assured leave him (and Jones) there.
He'll be away in the summer which is a shame because he would be a 10 times better CB than Jones.”
