Sleet showers are expected to hit North Lincolnshire later this morning, as wintry conditions continue.

But forecasters are expecting temperatures to gradually rise during the morning and early afternoon.

Light rain showers are expected later this afternoon, before a partly cloudy evening, with temperatures dropping back down to freezing point overnight.

North Lincolnshire Council's gritting teams were deployed yesterday evening to salt the region's road network as temperatures dropped below zero and motorists were advised by the authority to drive with extra care.

There are currently no reported traffic incidents in the region.
