Mrs Biggs star Sheridan Smith up for Royal Television Society Programme Award

Isle of Axholme star Sheridan Smith missed out on the best actress award at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards.

The 31-year-old was up for Best Actress for her performance as Charmian, wife of the great train robber Ronnie, in ITV series Mrs Biggs.

However, the award was won by Olivia Colman for her role in BBC 1 show Accused II.

Anne Marie Duff, who also appeared on Accused II, was the other nominee.
