Easter events and attractions have been announced for the North Lincolnshire Museum on Oswald Road in Scunthorpe

Good Friday 29 March, and Sunday 31 March and Bank holiday Monday 1 April

Artyfact time 10.30am until 3.30pm on Saturdays and 1.30pm until 3.30pm on Sundays.

Artyfacts give children a chance to discover the object of the week displayed in the Museum. Take part in themed craft activities to take home.

Bring archaeological finds to be identified by the finds liaison officer.

No need to book. Running on the last Saturday in the month except December.

Sunday 31 March

Free Sunday exhibition tours. Enjoy a free tour of our current changing exhibition to find out more about the displays and objects on show. Ideal for all the family, running 2pm-3pm every Sunday. No need to book just turn up.

Scunthorpe Art Group Society exhibition

An exhibition of original artwork on display and available to purchase. Over 50 different pieces created by local people. Free admission.

Up the High Street exhibition

Step back in time through North Lincolnshire’s High Streets from Victorian times to the recent past. Explore the development of many of our favourite shops, cafes and local traders. Learn about its past and how our many High Streets have evolved over time.

Victorian mayhem week, 10.30am – 3.30pm.

Come along to enjoy free drop in Victorian crafts, activities and object handling, ideal to keep the little ones entertained.

Running Monday until Friday during every school holiday period, one activity craft per visit only. Last admission to take part in activities 3pm daily.

April half term, Friday 5 April

Victorian Awesome ancestors, 11am and 1.30pm

Come along and meet a Victorian lady. Find out more about her life through role-play, handle artefacts and listen to her stories.

No need to book. Running every Friday during school holidays.

Every Thursday during school holidays.

Get involved with creative play, drama and play fun themed games. No need to book just turn up between 1pm and 3pm. Free admission, suitable for ages 6- 11 years.

Late night opening. Open 10am until 8pm offering more opportunity for you to visit and enjoy our galleries, interactives and learn more about North Lincolnshire’s history. Family backpacks and trails available to keep the little ones entertained.

Police surgery. Running on the second Friday of every month during 2013.

Giving you the chance to meet your local neighbourhood policing team and discuss any problems or concerns you may have. Humberside Police, protecting communities, targeting criminals. Free admission. Surgery located on ground floor.
