A COMEDIAN who mixes musical parodies with a helping of jokes is hoping for a rousing reception in North Lincolnshire.

Mitch Benn admits he has a very diverse following – from the middle-aged who might catch him on the airwaves of Radio 4 and Radio 2, to the teenagers who are more likely to have bumped into him telling a few gags down in their student union.

Without his band, he will be doing his first solo stand-up gig at Barton's Ropery Hall on Saturday (February 9).

In the first half of his show, Mitch will perform his critically acclaimed 2012 Edinburgh Show, Reduced Circumstances, and in the second, a selection of the nearest misses from his extensive back catalogue of songs.
