Nasty facial injuries sustained by girl,16, in Scunthorpe assault
A 16-year-old girl was assaulted by a man who was known to her in Scunthorpe yesterday (Monday, December 10, 2012).
Humberside Police say the girl sustained nasty facial injuries and required hospital treatment.

The victim was in the vicinity of Burringham Playing Fields in Scunthorpe at the time of the incident.
It is believed to have happened around 11pm, although police are unable to say a specific time.

A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: "Inquiries are ongoing to locate the person believed to be responsible for the assault."
