New Barton date for Eddie and the Hot Rods at Ropery Hall

Wintry weather prevented their scheduled January appearance at Barton upon Humber’s Ropery Hall but well-known group Eddie and the Hot Rods will be making their long anticipated appearance this Saturday (March 23).

Formed in 1976, when four teenagers from Southend on Sea got together playing their own style of fast energetic rock and roll and R & B band, Eddie and the Hot Rods are still very much in business.

They have packed audiences into most of the major UK, US and European venues over the years and just before Christmas were special guests on Status Quo’s five gig QuoFestive.

“Many times they have made front page news in the music press, appeared on Top of the Pops and have graced the national charts with anthems such as Teenage Depression as well as doing credit to a number of classic", “ said Liz Bennet of The Ropewalk.
