A new exhibition commemorates the vital role played by Northern Lincolnshire's airfields during the Second World War.

The aviation heritage display opens at Waters' Edge Visitor Centre, Barton upon Humber, this weekend.

It recalls a time when Lancasters and Spitfires were a common sight in our skies.

Among the exhibits is an interactive game called Counting Them Home, which highlights the dangers bomber crews faced during raids. Visitors are challenged to navigate a Lancaster through bad weather and enemy fire.
