New chief of police operations takes charge of Scunthorpe and district
THE new chief of policing operations in North Lincolnshire says the community has a crucial role to play in helping to tackle crime.
Chief Inspector Dave Hall took up the role as head of operations in North Lincolnshire this week.
He replaced Kevin Bowe, who has now retired from the force.
Having spent 16 years policing the streets of North Lincolnshire, he moved to Hull in 2010 to take the title of chief inspector in the human resources and development department.

He said limited resources meant that now, more than ever, community relations and working with partner organisations were key to policing.
"I am delighted to be back, as I have spent a lot of time working in this area," he said.
"I will be able to use my local knowledge, having worked with local partners and local community groups, and build on established relationships and productive working relationships.
"As policing inspector, it will provide me with the opportunity to build on them and I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.
"I will be involved in the day-to-day running of policing operations and providing to the residents a good level of service and to reduce crime."
