A NEW carers' liaison officer has been appointed at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Bev Herron will promote carer awareness and make carers aware of services at the hospital that can help them.

Ms Herron said: "There are a lot of carers out there who don't know they can access support services.

Ms Herron will be providing awareness training and support for hospital staff in identifying carers, as well as a link between carers and the Carers' Support Centre in Brigg.
