A NEW carers' liaison officer has been appointed at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Bev Herron will promote carer awareness and make carers aware of services at the hospital that can help them.

The post is being funded by NHS North Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Council.
Ms Herron said: "There are a lot of carers out there who don't know they can access support services.

"My role is to work with healthcare professionals across the hospital in trying to promptly identify carers who may need a little bit of a helping hand."
Ms Herron will be providing awareness training and support for hospital staff in identifying carers, as well as a link between carers and the Carers' Support Centre in Brigg.
