An Indian takeaway has said it has done all it can to deal with the concerns of residents about noise from its extractor fan.

Residents living near the Diya Spice takeaway on Bigby Street have raised concerns about the levels of noise vibration from the takeaway's fan.

A previous survey carried out by North Lincolnshire Council found that noise levels from the extraction fan at the takeaway were above the acceptable limit.

The report highlighted "significant reductions" were needed.

However, Isfak Ahmed, from Diya Spice, said: "We have replaced our old ducting system due to the noise the kitchen extraction system was causing to our neighbours."

Planning permission for the new fan is being sought, but Brigg town councillors have asked for another noise survey to be carried out, before deciding on whether to object to the proposals.
