United defender Nolan - we need a new boss in pretty quick
SCUNTHORPE United defender Eddie Nolan has admitted the club is in desperate need of a new manager to guide them through the latter stages of the season.
That assertion came on the back of a timid 2-0 defeat at Ipswich Town, in which the Iron threatened sporadically and rarely suggested a share of the spoils was on the cards.

SPEEDY RESOLUTION: Full-back Eddie Nolan.
Now the board have a two-week window in which to appoint a new manager during the international break, with Nolan calling for action sooner rather than later.
"It is obvious we need someone in pretty quickly," admitted the 22-year-old after a loss that saw United fall five points from safety.
"Every club needs a manager, we need someone to come in and get us out of the bottom three.
"What type of manager is up to the board to decide.
"But we definitely need a lift, we dug in on Saturday but did not create much ourselves.
"After the international break we will come back fresh and buzzing to go at Norwich."
They will do so looking to rectify a run of eight straight losses on the road, a pattern reinforced on Saturday.
"It was another game that passed us by without picking up a point," added Nolan.
"We were playing a very good team with a lot of good players in it.
"They got two smashing goals and apart from that we were quite level."

“It's a good job that sacking Bara wasn't a 'knee jerk reaction' (midnight, following a 0-3 defeat, fans chanting 'Bara Out'...with no one lined up to replace him....
SACK THE BOARD!”
