Two flights cancelled at Humberside Airport during icy weather (updated)

A number of flights due to take off from Humberside Airport this morning (January 15, 2013) have been cancelled.

As the effects of the bad weather sweep the region, two flights scheduled to leave Humberside Airport to Aberdeen were cancelled, due to snowy conditions at Aberdeen airport.

The other flights cancelled were helicopter flights.

A spokesman for Humberside Airport said: "We are currently operating as normal.

"Delays are inevitable, so we are asking people to take a bit more time getting in and to check information with their airline.

"At the moment our radar is working correctly and our helicopters are operating normally."

There have also been no significant train delays as a result of the bad weather in our region.

A spokeswoman for Network Rail said: "We have got the response teams out there and we are doing everything we can.

"I am not aware of any significant issues at the moment."
