Firefighters were alerted to a blaze in Bottesford at tea-time today (Wednesday Jan 2).

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said food had been left unattended at an address in West View.

It was extinguished by an occupier using wet towels before a crew arrived at 4.40pm, and no further action was required.

    “I really hope that nobody at my end of Audern Road in Bottesford has a fire as the parking is terrible the engine won't get through.
    Why can't people park on their drives?”
